Projects

Since early 2022, I work with Footprints Africa to guide, train and learn from circular economy businesses on the African continent. With our measurement team, we work with cohorts of businesses to do tailored impact assessments using the SCEIA framework I developed in my PhD.

In the summer of 2022, with the University of Messina’s Sustainability Lab, we proposed thirteen circular economy strategies for the Municipality of Messina. In a focus group with parties such as non-profit associations, public bodies and waste managers, four of them were selected for further development.

I supervise master students from the University of Amsterdam with their theses in business administration and sustainability.

The Oiconomy Pricing method is a newly developed method to express the distance-to-sustainability of a product in monetary terms. For the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, I supported the development of a research proposal with a consortium of 24 partners.
